What We Believe

The Bible

Is the inspired word of god and is without error in its original form. It is our guide for faith and practice. 2 Tim. 3:16-17

God

Is eternal and exists in three equal persons, The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God created the world and everything in it. He continues to sustain His creation and He is operating throughout history to fulfill His purpose for mankind. 1 John 5:7, Gen. 1-2

Jesus Christ

Is the only son of God, the image of God. He is God, and is the only savior of the world. We can have eternal life because of His death on the cross and literal, physical resurrection from the dead. We believe the second coming of Christ will be personal and imminent. 1 John 5:11-12, 1 Thes. 4:16-17

Eternal Destiny

The Bible says if you give your life to Christ and ask Him for forgiveness of your sins then you will go to heaven and have eternal life. By doing this you are making a commitment to live for Christ. Without Jesus as savior in a person’s life, a person would live in hell eternally after physical death. Rom. 10:9, John 3:16, 1 John 1:9, Gal. 2:20, John 14:1-3, Rev. 20:10 & 15.

The Holy Spirit

Is sent by God to help the Christian live for God in their daily lives. He gives the Christian gifts to build up and help people. Eph. 4:30-32, Acts 2:4, Gal. 5:22

Baptism and Communion

We believe that baptism by immersion is an outward sign of an inward work. We also believe in remembering the Lord’s supper by the symbolic use of the bread and juice. Matt. 28:19, 1 Cor. 11:24-25

Church

Every Christian should be part of a church for spiritual growth, worship, fellowship and sharing the message of Christ. The Christian should support their church financially through tithes and offerings to help spread His message. Acts 16:5, Heb. 10:25

Sharing Our Faith

Jesus’ final words to His followers included a commission to “go and make disciples of all nations.” That call to share about Jesus to the world begins with our family, friends, neighbors and the world. Matt. 28:19-20
