About Us

Waypoint Early Learning came about to serve a need in our community. We feel it is important for every child to have a safe and loving place to go while their parents/guardians are away. Waypoint Early Learning is an extension of Waypoint Community Church. As a church, we guide people to find their way home, to an authentic relationship with Christ. At Waypoint Early Learning, we want you and your children to feel the love of Jesus and the safety of home.

Mission and Philosophy

Waypoint Early Learning staff believes every child has been uniquely designed by God to live a happy and full life. Psalm 139:14 says that we are all “fearfully and wonderfully made.” Because of this, we will provide a safe and loving environment for your children to play, learn and grow at their own developmental rate. As a staff, we are committed to caring for each child and their individual needs. We want your children to leave our care feeling the love of Jesus daily and throughout their lives. We want you to feel confident that you have left your child in the best care possible.

Learning Environment

Waypoint Early Learning will provide an age appropriate learning environment with a faith-based curriculum that is developmentally appropriate to the specific ages in each classroom. We see your children as an individual that will advance at their own pace and excel with the encouragement of our teachers. Learning happens through play and hands on activities. Our classrooms are set up with stations for your children to develop their creativity, self-expression, decision-making skills, problem solving skills, responsibility, independence, reasoning and ability to play with others.

Curriculum and Developmental Assessments

Waypoint Early Learning subscribes to a play-based theory where children learn and develop by interacting, playing and experiencing the world around them. We will use the “Ages and States Questionnaire” to monitor each child’s developmental achievements. Communication between Waypoint Early Learning staff, parents and health care professionals will help each child excel and provide information needed for further screenings.
